Description
Isotocin (IT) is a biologically active nonapeptide in teleost fish that are produced in neurosecretory neurons in the hypothalamic nuclei. This peptide belongs to the arginine vasopressin-oxytocin family of peptides and has shown to modulate a range of social behaviors.
