Description

Ac-Thz-Tle-Leu-Gln-ACC is an M^pro peptide substrate for both SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV main protease (M^pro, also known as 3CL^pro). A HyCoSuL (Hybrid Combinatorial Substrate Library) approach determined that this sequence was among the most preferred substrate (containing both unnatural and natural amino acids) among those tested (K_M = 189.5 ± 2.7 µM, K_cat = 0.144 ± 0.006 s^-1, K_cat/K_M = 760 ± 50 M^-1s^-1)
