“Anti-angiotensin II” peptide deduced from the antisense mRNA complementary to the human angiotensin II mRNA. The sequence of this octapeptide is 50% homologous to angiotensin II but functions as an antagonist of angiotensin II, causing uterine contractions and hypertensive responses in rats.
