Description

Relaxin H2 (human) is a naturally occurring peptide hormone belonging to the relaxin family of insulin-like peptides. It plays a key role in various physiological processes, including reproductive health, tissue remodeling, cardiovascular regulation, and antifibrotic activity. The human Relaxin H2 form is the primary circulating isoform in humans and exhibits potent vasodilatory, anti-inflammatory, and antifibrotic properties.

The Relaxin H2 peptide is composed of two peptide chains (A-chain and B-chain), connected by disulfide bonds, resembling the structural framework of insulin. The B-chain is essential for receptor binding and activation, primarily interacting with Relaxin Family Peptide Receptor 1 (RXFP1).
